Sioux City Fire Rescue's S.A.F.E. Home Program consists of three components:
The guide book is about more than just fire safety. It covers other safety topics such as carbon monoxide, severe weather, winter weather, floods, severe heat, fireworks, bicycle safety, water safety, car seat information, poison prevention and fall prevention. Also included is information on portable fire extinguishers, exit drills in the home and disaster supply kit information. The last section of the booklet is a home safety checklist for those who want to conduct their own safety inspection. The voluntary home inspection program is quite simple. Homeowners, as well as renters, can call to schedule a free safety inspection of their home or apartment by calling 712-279-6377. |
