The Environmental Advisory Board makes recommendations on a plan to enable Sioux City to meet State mandated reductions in solid waste; makes recommendations on an integrated solid waste management plan; makes recommendations on rates for environmental projects as requested by the Council or City Manager; recommends programs for educating the community on environmental education issues; makes recommendations on environmental planning issues; and makes recommendations regarding the development of the storm water pollution prevention program as it applies to the citizen involvement and community education programs.
