The Active Transportation Advisory Committee will advise Staff and the City Council on implementation of bicycle and pedestrian plans, evaluate performance in keeping with the phasing and timeline of the Active Transportation Plan, coordinate “Encouragement, Education, Enforcement, and Evaluation” activities, and assist in the development and implementation of other goals as related to active transportation practices.

Membership Requirements:	Nine members of the board shall be appointed by a majority vote of the City Council. One member shall represent the Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council (SIMPCO); one member shall have a background in health and wellness activities; one member shall have a background in bicycling or trails activities; one member shall have a background in ADA policies; and five at-large members. All members must reside within the Sioux City limits.
