Christmas Decoration Program Offered at City Cemeteries
The Sioux City Field Services’ Cemetery Division is pleased to announce the wreath decoration program at Sioux City’s public cemeteries. This year marks the eighth year for this holiday tradition. The natural wreaths are 24-inch diameter handcrafted balsam fir. They are decorated with white-tipped pine cones and a weatherproof bow. Another option offered this year is a 30” natural balsam fir cross, also decorated with a red bow and a white tipped pine cone. Both are attached to a 36-in easel. For a small fee ($25 for a wreath or $35 for a cross) cemetery staff will place the decorations on the gravesite of a loved one during the first week of December. If you would like to take advantage of the City’s decoration program, please contact the cemetery office no later than November 6th. This program provides an opportunity for families to remember their loved ones during the holiday season.
