
ELECTRICAL BOARD
The Board of Electrical Examiners considers applications of persons desiring electrical licenses; conducts hearings to decide on the revocation or suspension of electrical licenses; hears appeals regarding decisions of the Inspection Services Division; determines suitability of alternate materials and methods in construction; and makes interpretations of the provisions of the electrical ordinance.

LOCATION: 4th Floor Clock Tower Conference Room, City Hall, 405 6th Street
MEMBERSHIP: Must practice their profession or reside in the City; cannot be an officer or employee of the City; one member shall hold a current electrical contractor’s license; two members shall hold current master electrician’s licenses; one member shall hold a current journeyman electrician’s license; one member shall be practicing and hold a State of Iowa professional electrical engineer’s license and two members shall be citizens having no financial interest in the electrical industry.
